About INTERACT

  • It is a project of large network of research stations focused on the Arctic and surrounding regions, playing a crucial role in monitoring environmental conditions.
  • It was established under the auspices of SCANNET, an existing Arctic network of research stations spread across various countries including northern Europe, Russia, US, Canada, Greenland, Iceland, Faroe Islands and Scotland.
  • Objective: To build capacity for identifying, understanding, predicting and responding to diverse environmental changes throughout the wide environmental and land-use envelopes of the Arctic.
  • Funded By: European Union (EU)
